Ethiopia - Beta Abba Libanos:
Beta Abba Libanos has been excavated in a cave, separate from the walls of the mountain by a tunnel that surrounds it, the ceiling is one with the mountain. Three rows of windows make it looks great, is a small sanctuary, beautiful but narrow and dark. A mysterious dim light illuminates the altar day and night, the skeptics say it's a banal phosphorescent stone. Beta Abba Libanos was built in one night with the help of angels and the queen Meskal Kabre, wife of King Lalibela, who wanted to show his abilities, and that the king recognized only in part. - See the Ethiopia map with a complete picture set.
