Wareara / Wareeara / Wayara?.

Dal "Travels In Beloochistan And Sinde" di Pottinger: “21st January. We left Ootul about noon, and a little past six in the evening halted at a miserable village called Wareara, with not more than a dozen of houses, or rather sheds, in one of which, belonging to a dyer, we put up for the night: the distance of this march was eighteen miles, and the direction something to the eastward of north: the country barren, flat, and sandy: we saw two wells, the waters of which we tasted, and found them both brackish, as well as being in very small quantities.”

Del libro Voyages Dans Le Beloutchistan Et Le Sindhy si trovano alcune edizioni anche su Amazon, sono delle riproduzioni del 1923 del testo originale di Pottinger del 1816, con delle imperfezioni dovute alla scannerizzazione di pagine molto vecchie e un po’ rovinate.

dal “Gazetteer of the Countries Adjacent to India North-West”: “WAREEARA.— A village in the province of Lus, in Beloochistan, about twenty miles south of Belah, on the eastern route from that town to Sommeanee. It is situate in a flat, sandy, barren country, having a scanty supply of brackish water. Pottinger” describes it as a miserable place, having about a dozen houses, or rather sheds. Lat. 25° 55’, long. 66° 33’.” (Località spostata di 16 km rispetto a Googe Maps WGS84)

Nel 2010 il “Gazetteer of the Countries Adjacent to India North West” è stato ristampato dalla British Library ed è ora facilmente acquistabile anche su Amazon.

Pottinger la cita come Wareara, nel Dizionario Geografico del 1884 è invece Wareeara.
